Description
Minimalist abstract in a new series of works celebrating the beauty and power of ink to parchment and is also the fourth in a series of stories, poems, and musings of this life we find ourselves in. "Rainy Days And Mondays" in part was inspired by the Carpenters song with the same title."
She comes to him,
showering down
her life-affirming water
upon his head.
He welcomes her,
such kind attention she gives
for he has since lost the green
foliage that once invited visitors
“Come, sit beneath my shade.”
Each morning
light fingers it rays
across the darkened forest floor,
he waits for her
with hope of new growth.
She rushes to see him,
overflowing in joy.
The heat had touched him with no mercy
She offers him only grace.
He does not see horror
in her eyes.
When she looks at him,
her eyes are always filled with tears
of joy spilling down
bathing him
in hope.
He is grateful to be
Here
with her
and she is content
knowing spring’s gift will come
for him.
‘Until a new morning,
my love!’”
