Follow up to My Mirage. The journey continues.
Days of yore,
how things change
so quickly.
My mirage was a source of comfort,
shielding me from all
I denied so easily:
The REAL.
But I can’t pitch my tent
On the sanding dunes
of a child’s dreams.
The truth will not be
silenced
when the heart is teachable
and willing to walk
towards what I once believed
was nothing but wishful thinking,
now no longer a ghostly apparition
but the TRUTH.
Now my eyes are being forced
open
and the glimmering
horizon before me promises
balance:
hard times, sure
but also blessings,
so forward I shall walk,
toward the horizon,
and grasp
