March - O'er the Ides of March

Description
The first in a collection of art representing the heart of the months of the year. "Beware the ides of March," a quote from Shakespeare's Julius Caesar, is often used to foreshadow impending doom - but here I choose to look past the dark and stressful moments of the pandemic to embrace hope! There is a place O'er the pain and heartache so many of us have experienced, a place beyond tragedy - where there is healing and freedom.
"I was inspired to paint this by my longtime FAA friend, Vivian Anderson. Thanks VIV for the kind word. Though received late, your kind attention to me was a gentle balm on my heart and uplifted me. Thank you!"

Remember - this was the piece that brought me back into the artworld last year! Now a year later....what a year indeed.

How beautiful, to look past the darkness and SEE the light only April will bring, and, the promise! I only just started studying your Ides series, and somehow missed this so lovely kind word to me, and, thank you, Ken.....if I lifted your heart....now: a long time since, and you are 'beaming' these days. Happy to be a part of your peaceful journey, always. f.v.....VIVA 💜

Funny I thought you have commented on this before. This is the first painting of 2021 since being away from art for almost a year. This started it all. I forgot all about it until just now. This was just supposed to be a one-time deal for my bedroom, and ended up sparking a deeper artistic journey and friendship with you than I could have ever imagined. THANK YOU, my dearest, for your love and support always.
