never stopping
to ask for directions
And if he did,

Signs are ignored along the way.
He’s chosen his steps
forward or backward.
No difference
if the path is rosy and pink.
Listen to the billboard, our friend.

In the end,
A trail is left
behind him, discarded junk,
broken hearts,

never taken,
