In the end, we miss out on the opportunities to freely live and become healthier happier people. NOTE: Also a nod to a Pat Metheny Live album of the same name.

to ask for directions

Signs are ignored along the way.
He’s chosen his steps
forward or backward.
No difference
if the path is rosy and pink.

A trail is left
behind him, discarded junk,
broken hearts,
pamphlets of travels
