The Walker by Ken Walker
Through storm’s winds, love awaits
The challenge to mortal flesh
– Death to self
Run! Run! Don’t look down
Gaze upon Hope's visage
Challenge the impossible
MAN ON THE WATER
Bid me come
Artist Note - "There is a lot to glean from this story. 1) The story challenges me to remember that my ways of thinking, my rules, and my views of the IMPOSSIBLE should not be inflicted on the CREATOR OF THE UNIVERSE - as the Bible often repeats "His ways are not our ways" - Something brought up in the book THE SHACK: We often when thinking and fearing the future envision a future that doesn't include the Impossible God. As soon as we put him into the equation, the solution changes, creating an atmosphere of peace and hope. 2) The disciples first reaction during the storm wh...
"There are only two worthwhile things to leave behind when you depart this world of ours - children and art!" - Sunday In The Park With George I've been fortunate to have been blessed with both a beautiful daughter and a talent for music and art. Welcome! They say that a good biography is in the 3rd person - I prefer to be more personal. If you've taken the time to read this, then you deserve something more, something more personal and heartfelt to get to know me as an artist and as a person. To understand the art, it is good to understand the journey the artist takes: The joys and scars along the way. Reviewing images for tomorrow’s feature…And so, Ken, true confessions (always a struggle to maintain dispassionate gaze to give as many representation for feature) …minimalism has never been a personal-favorite artform; however, your poem, The Shack quotation, the parabolic metaphor from biblical story…all point to a great unfolding truth now playing out center stage in a numinosity from which a Shifting “Light” will surely emerge. In my humble opinion, this particular painting is brilliant as seen in its collective of visual and backstoried expression. WONDERfully “Present” Art, kudos…:-)

So dark. So light. So personal. So driven to testimony, for purpose of enlightenment, affirmation, redemption. Art! From ‘the artist’s’ depths, bearing witness, offering… ……HOPE., salvation, penance? Overwhelming ! You, are overwhelmed. I witness THAT.
Ken Walker replied:
Thank you. THE ARTIST sees. I am BLESSED by your VISION.
