New painting and poem addition to the Abstract and the Written Word collection.
THE MORNING THAT NEVER WAS
I long for the morning
that never was. In my mind
I go there often and replay the events
before today. Everything was
Simpler, perfect
In the morning that never was.
Fractured
parts of my heart fight
to hold onto the mirage: I was happy
in the morning that never was.
“Magical Tranquility awaits us
in the morning that never was,”
They say, “Look away!
Look away!
Come to where tangerine clouds frolic
through pink skies, the sun never sets
on the morning that never was.
All is merry and bright,
euphoria for the wishful heart.
Nothing to see here. Whisk us away
to the morning that never was.
Life is what story we believe
Let us stay here and dream of
the morning that never was.”
But how can we stay?
And what awaits us there?
Nothing,
Ever after

About Ken Walker
"There are only two worthwhile things to leave behind when you depart this world of ours - children and art!" - Sunday In The Park With George I've been fortunate to have been blessed with both a beautiful daughter and a talent for music and art. Welcome! They say that a good biography is in the 3rd person - I prefer to be more personal. If you've taken the time to read this, then you deserve something more, something more personal and heartfelt to get to know me as an artist and as a person. To understand the art, it is good to understand the journey the artist takes: The joys and scars along the way. Take a moment to experience my work, and you'll notice a common thread: Hope and Healing. Communicating all I've learned in...

I wish you could find a way to incorporate some of your poem into the image. I is so poignant and the image is perfect.
Ken Walker replied:
You may be onto something - perhaps some variants?

Beautifully serene, dear Ken ! Yes! A 'glory' to the new day in colours so calm, warm, uplifting. It IS ! (not never was) !! I find this a 'rapture' of inner grace, expressed! As is your 'longing' - answered in this creation, fulfilled here! I see you WHOLE here! and from this moment, you will 'frolic' amid gentleness, and you will then see out the whole day, and the moonlight will appear, and light you way through the night full of stars, until......another perfect day euphoric.......Keep wishing, Ken, this way: so gentle, so calm, and LIVE in this light you've longed for. It IS your destiny.......CALM,SERENE,.....Believe it !!....I love how this makes me feel........thank you!!, (f.v.)............VIVA, eraptured.
Ken Walker replied:
I am slowly greeting the day made easier by those that walk alongside me. Beauty and Grace - Thank you.
