"This painting was perhaps the most personal and intimate of all the work I've ever done up until this moment. This is a portrait of my late wife at our wedding. It's those moments during the wedding ceremony that I remember her there, standing as a beautiful statue of white looking at me, waiting for my words of love, of acceptance, of affirmation of a life we would live together, though tragically short: Just 2 words, "I DO!"
