Ken, so red, the fire, symbolically, literally. And, your message...yet more Hope and healing. This is wonderful.....kudos.....just FYI, what I see is the most vivid sunset, symbolically burning away the day's troubles...and the forms....are sailboats, returning to port, perhaps racing, competing...enjoying the beautiful sea, gently riding the tide...again finding hope....so simple here, yet so profound... f.v...VIVA

Ken Walker replied:

This is why I love abstract-all the meaning there to explore. I love the sailboats:) at the end of the day it is about hope and healing.

Artist's Description

Abstract part of the "Hope and Healing" series.

-"In 1988 a great fire ravaged Yellowstone National Park. At the time, with such destruction witnessed, it was thought to be the end of the park. Now 30 years later, the park not only lives again, but has thrived. New life springs out of tragedy. This is true for us as well, but as emotional beings, most would rather avoid the pain, take the shorter path, the 'path of least resistance'. But I've experienced in my own life this truth: Deeper healing and greater change of life often come 'By Another Way', that of walking through the fire to the other side and embracing the new growth that comes after the ashes have settled."

Ken Walker

"There are only two worthwhile things to leave behind when you depart this world of ours - children and art!" - Sunday In The Park With George I've been fortunate to have been blessed with both a beautiful daughter and a talent for music and art. Welcome! They say that a good biography is in the 3rd person - I prefer to be more personal. If you've taken the time to read this, then you deserve something more, something more personal and heartfelt to get to know me as an artist and as a person. To understand the art, it is good to understand the journey the artist takes: The joys and scars along the way. Take a moment to experience my work, and you'll notice a common thread: Hope and Healing. Communicating all I've learned in...
