Wind Becomes Her/Rio by Ken Walker (based on lyrics by Duran Duran)
Catching the light,
The mirror way out west,
She dances,
Wind at her back,
Desire
Twisting like a river
Through a dry and dusty land
I am upended,
Helpless against her light
Two, of a billion stars
She casts her gaze
I feel alive
Free
Dance with me,
My Rio,
sweet bird of paradise,
It means so much to me.
Artist Note - "Growing up in the 80's, Duran Duran was such a musical influence for me. I was, at this time, predominately playing the bass, and the groups bassist, John Taylor, was a powerhouse of talent. I spent hours upon hours trying to learn his staccato style of picking - especially on the song "Rio". Not only was the song such a hit, but it incapsulated the 80's art with artist Patrick Nagel iconic graphic style."
