Title
Sunrise, Sunset
Artist
Ken Walker
Medium
Digital Art - Digital Painting
Description
Modern abstract with intersecting - deconstruction of jutting lines filled with orange and grey and blue.
Lyrics from the song "Sunrise, Sunset" from "Fiddler on the Roof"
Sunrise, sunset
Sunrise, sunset
Swiftly fly the years
One season following another
Laden with happiness and tears
Artist Note - "With the new year upon me, stories yet to be written, I look back and wonder how it all went so quickly. Yet as I approach 55, perhaps times is slowing down as I try and savor each moment - or at least, I hope that is what I can do better at. It won't be long (perhaps overdue) when my daughter will leave the nest and I will be alone for the first time. Seasons of life - they come whether I'm ready or not - but I choose (or least try each day to remind myself to choose) to count each sunrise and sunset a blessing and all that fills the in-between. I think that is a gift of growing older - the experience to see things a bit clearer - to enjoy the journey a bit more. This abstract was inspired by that process. The ending of a day and the beginning - all the chaos in the middle, yet somehow having a place to fit and make sense if I allow it to."
