Artist's Description
Inspired by VIVA Anderson's flower paintings. The concept behind the painting/poem was partially inspired by the lyrics from the Sondheim musical, "Sunday in the Park with George" - The song "Finish the Hat", as well as the prevailing theme "Color and Light....Order and Composition", first lines of the play. A visual representation of the creative process as it happens in the artist's mind - chaos taking form to become something beautiful.
UNBRIDLED by Ken Walker
If I could peer into
the creative mind
what mystery
would I behold?
I imagine
vast wonders,
beauty in transit.
swirling ideas,
furious,
unbridled,
Pure Chaos
my synapsis,
Alive
Creation,
my drug of choice,
socially acceptable
but no less costly.

onto another blank canvas,
the next hit to get right.
Compulsion -
“Finish the hat”
but the painter and I know

About Ken Walker
"There are only two worthwhile things to leave behind when you depart this world of ours - children and art!" - Sunday In The Park With George I've been fortunate to have been blessed with both a beautiful daughter and a talent for music and art. Welcome! They say that a good biography is in the 3rd person - I prefer to be more personal. If you've taken the time to read this, then you deserve something more, something more personal and heartfelt to get to know me as an artist and as a person. To understand the art, it is good to understand the journey the artist takes: The joys and scars along the way. Take a moment to experience my work, and you'll notice a common thread: Hope and Healing. Communicating all I've learned in...

Ken, I love your poem…I see “co-creation” as the “unbridled” dance floor wherein my passionate love dance engins when I hold the brush or pen and The Flow (of Inspiration) sweeps me into the LIGHT and Colour…the FORMLESSNESS and Form and I am released…Breathless, awaiting the next invitation to ….Dance! Thank you for your openness and behind the BUZzz shares, always more to ponder with gratitude. Best to you!..LF

Ken, I feel like you've seen inside my head with your poem. I've said before that it's noisy in my head -- so many ideas, so little time. ;) The poem and the painting are both beautiful!
Ken Walker replied:
I appreciate you taking the time to come here an comment.....I appreciate the validation that I am not alone in this regards :)
