Description
The Gateway: Image of the St. Louis Gateway Arch.
Artist Note: "I was amazed when I saw this shot I had taken that not only pleased me on the angle of the shot, but the nature colors of the image. What amazes me is that for some reason it looks like there is a paint filter effect added on this: There is not."

Great shot, love the simplicity and curved lines!

Not bad for a newbie "photographer" eh? LOL Hard not to get something good with such an awesome structure - ever been there to see it and ride to the top?

I do think so! Yes. I do a bit of photographic abstract work, which I love. I think there's room to do all those creative things that pull at our head & he'art' strings. I see you are a poet, as well. Same here, and music, too. Play the piano & sing. I would encourage you to, besides your fabulous abstract images & creations, to do more straightforward photography, like this piece, etc. The possibilities are endless! I know you know. And you're welcome re getting back to you. Wish I could invite men to be part of my wonderful 'A Woman's Touch' group...because you'd be one I'd welcome. C'est la vie.
Ken Walker replied:
Thank you Brooks. As for "A Woman's Touch" maybe you can create an off-shoot that men can join as well :) I think I will be adding some more photography into the mix and see what shakes loose.

Ken, you may 'think' you are not a photographer, but it's obvious you are with this piece...and better than many who think they are, lol. Maybe consider expanding your photographic talents? ~B
Ken Walker replied:
Wow Brooks, just...well, thank you. It's funny, a few months ago a read up on Man Ray for an abstract I had in the works. I only knew him as a photographer (well as much a I new the name was connected to photography) but later learned that he actually started photography as a means to create his paintings....so who knows, I've been taking photos for my abstract layers for a few years now. It is something I would consider. I do so appreciate you coming back and responding. It really means the world to me :)
Ken Walker replied:
Brooks, you'll have to look at the other photographs and tell me if you still think so LOL

Thanks for posting this one Brooks. I'm not a photographer my nature, but being there in St. Louis I couldn't resist trying to capture this magnificent structure.
