Product Details

Our luxuriously soft beach towels are made from brushed microfiber with a 100% cotton back for extra absorption.   The top of the towel has the image printed on it, and the back is white cotton.   Our beach towels are available in two different sizes: beach towel (32" x 64") and beach sheet (37" x 74").

Don't let the fancy name confuse you... a beach sheet is just a large beach towel.

VIVA - you've made my day. Speaking of favorites, this is one of mine - that got little fanfare - but I love it so. The color, texture, and inspiration both from ALICE and the BILL BRUFORD song. :)

I totally dig this! Not a very eloquent or elaborate comment. I'm drawn to yellow these days & I like the simple/complex composition.

Ken Walker replied:

Abbie, that's more my speed! That you get it is very cool. Thanks. No trying listening to the song.....ya might not dig that though..??

Artist's Description

11th abstract in a series of stories, poems, and musings of this life we find ourselves in and was also inspired by both "Alice In Wonderland" by Luis Carroll and the jazz fusion song with the same title by Bill Bruford.

- "Alice did not feel encouraged to ask any more questions about it, so she turned to the Mock Turtle, and said 'What else had you to learn?' 'Well, there was Mystery,' the Mock Turtle replied, counting off the subjects on his flappers, 'Mystery, ancient and modern, with Seaography; then Drawling – the Drawling-master was an old conger-eel, that used to come once a week: he taught us Drawling, Stretching, and Fainting in Coils.' "

I sat awhile to think about this passage since it popped into my mind whilst finishing the painting. The song is one of my favorites, and I always wondered what "Fainting In Coils" was. Turns out, after some quick study, I found the answer to be rather simple: The author had an art teacher that taught "drawing, ske...

About Ken Walker

Ken Walker

"There are only two worthwhile things to leave behind when you depart this world of ours - children and art!" - Sunday In The Park With George I've been fortunate to have been blessed with both a beautiful daughter and a talent for music and art. Welcome! They say that a good biography is in the 3rd person - I prefer to be more personal. If you've taken the time to read this, then you deserve something more, something more personal and heartfelt to get to know me as an artist and as a person. To understand the art, it is good to understand the journey the artist takes: The joys and scars along the way. Take a moment to experience my work, and you'll notice a common thread: Hope and Healing. Communicating all I've learned in...
