Description
Minimalist abstract in a new series of works celebrating the beauty and power of ink to parchment.
-"She enters the art gala, a singularly astonishing brunette in a black designer cocktail dress. She gives no clue to who she is or her intentions by way of any unique mannerisms or social contact with those at the party. She could be the heiress to billions, the plus-one to some up and coming politician, or even a renowned art thief with her eye on the newly discovered Rembrandt. She could move unnoticed for the "Bijou In Scarlet" is the true character in this story and her intention is to be seen and to captivate all those who gaze upon her. She wields light as a weapon, throwing out her darts of crimson color to the unwitting eye. She is here to insight jealousy and arouse desire in the most chaste of individual."
- "I've been really enjoying (and what else is there to do these days during the shut-in) using negative space as a large part of my work. In this piece, it's the negative space that defines the black lines and tells the story of this beautiful, yet mysterious woman who dons an exquisite pair of red ruby earrings."
